An American passenger who traumatized an Eva Air flight attendant has passed away in Thailand. The passenger made a flight attendant wipe his butt after he defecated on a flight from Los Angeles to Taiwan. This left the flight attendant broken and disgusted. She called on her employer to issue changes in policy and wanted the passenger blacklisted. So it was a surprise when the passenger was able to book another flight on Eva Air on a later date. However, an Eva employee told SETN that the man was blacklisted. When Eva Air contacted the passenger’s attorney to notify him that his client was blacklisted, the lawyer told them that his client had died, reports Taiwan News.
The American passenger boarded the Eva Air flight on January 19, 2019, traveling from Los Angeles to Thailand with a layover in Taiwan. The passenger was estimated to be around 440 pounds and was in a wheelchair. Two hours into the flight, he asked the flight attendants for assistance to the bathroom. Inside the bathroom, he asked a flight attendant to help him lower his pants so that he can defecate.
At first, she refused, but he told her if she didn’t he would soil himself. She pulled his underwear down and tried to cover his genitals with a blanket but he slapped her hand away.
The Chief Purse of the flight, Kuo told reporters, “I told him we couldn’t help him, but he started yelling. He told me to go in there immediately and threatened to relieve himself on the floor.
“As the passenger’s genitals were now exposed, one of my colleagues brought a blanket, which I used to cover his modesty.
“But he very angrily slapped my hand away, saying he didn’t want it and only wanted me to remove his underwear so he could use the toilet.”
She told reporters that she began to cry when he was undressing him. After the man finished defecating, he told the flight attendant to wipe his butt. After she refused, he became more belligerent, demanding she wipe his rear end. The flight attendant didn’t want the passenger to be stuck in the bathroom so she put on three latex gloves and wiped him clean. As she was wiping him, he started to moan and said, “Oh, mmm, deeper, deeper.” After she wiped him several times, he demanded that she pull his underwear up. She complied and did what he asked then helped him back to his seat.
The flight attendant was horrified by the incident. After she helped the American passenger, she locked herself in the bathroom and cried and vomited.
“I never thought I’d see this day, never thought about wanting to resign so desperately, never felt so violated,” she said.
The passenger was set to fly back to the states in May of this year. He died in March in Ko Samui, Thailand, of some kind of illness. Eva Air is now working with his family to issue a refund for the unused ticket.
