Floyd Mayweather Jr, the greatest boxer of our generation has agreed to a match with Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa. Nobody is quite sure what the match is exactly at this time. It could be a boxing match, it could be some kind of exhibition. The rules and weight of the bout are still being negotiated by Rizin and TMT promotions, reports MMASUCKA. But one thing for sure is that Floyd Mayweather will get paid.

Floyd Mayweather is the highest paid boxer ever. He accumulated about a billion dollars in earnings as he went onto a perfect 50 – 0 record. Just his last three fights against Pacquiao, Berto, and Mcgregor, saw him close to making 600 million dollars. The 41-year-old is reportedly going to make around a $100 million dollars to face undefeated kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Japan for Rizin Promotions.

Tenshin Nasukawa is a famous 20-year-old kickboxer with a professional record of 27 – 0. He stands 5’5″ inches tall, about 3 inches shorter than Floyd. Additionally, he fights at 125 pounds where Mayweather fights at 154 pounds. The boy is at a huge disadvantage if it’s just boxing. However, if you throw in kicks the dynamic can change in his favor. But it’s doubtful Mayweather would fight under those rules.

The fight seems at least entertaining enough and if you’re a Floyd Mayweather fan you might enjoy the novelty of it. But if you were Floyd’s last novelty fight you might feel a little salty.

Floyd Mayweather last fought Conor Mcgregor where Mayweather pocketed around $250 million and Mcgregor got around $90 million. Mcgregor went back to MMA and lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov in a one-sided beatdown. So Connor had to throw his two cents at the match between Mayweather and Nasukawa. On his Instagram @thenotoriousmma, he made fun of Floyd’s outfit and wrote, “Like something out of rush hour 5 or something. Chris tucker and Jackie f**king Chan back in this b**ch”

I’m guessing Mcgregor was drunk when he wrote this because he always seems drunk, except when he’s fighting. Well, it didn’t take long for Tenshin Nasukawa to issue a statement to Mcgregor.

On his Twitter @TeppenTenshin, he wrote, “Hello, Mr. McGregor. My Name is Tenshin Nasukawa. I am not Jackie Chan. I promise to avenge your loss, so please watch my fight.” What a nice polite burn.

If you’re a fight fan you got to love the spectacle of it. And if you got some money to throw down the toilet you should watch it. The fight which takes place on New Year’s Eve will be a nice end to a great year of MMA and boxing.

UPDATE – 11/7/2018 – Floyd Mayweather Jr. cleared up the fight or non-fight. On his Instagram, he said he never agreed to an official fight with Tenshin Nasukawa. He was asked to ‘participate in a 9-minute exhibition of 3 rounds with an opponent selected by the “Rizen Fighting Federation”.’ The exhibition was for a wealthy group of individuals in a private setting and was not meant to be a public bout. He said he was “blindsided” by the organization.

So there is no fight. For his full explanation check below.
