An unidentified man needed to be rescued after he got his arm stuck in a squat toilet. The man in Xiangyang, Hubei, China was getting ready to eat after he bought some live fish, but one of them jumped out of his hands and right into a squat toilet. The man decided that he wouldn’t let the fish get away so he put his right arm in the toilet and that’s when he got stuck, reports the Daily Mail.
The man is seen lying face down with his whole arm stuck in the toilet, while the other fishes that couldn’t get away are placed near him.
Firefighters had to be called and they had to break the toilet apart to free the man’s arm. It was quite the struggle but after a little elbow grease, they freed the man.
As for the fish, it got away and it’s swimming with the fishes.
This isn’t the first time a person was stuck in a squat toilet. The toilets seem like a safety hazard. In May another man also got his arm stuck in a squat toilet after he dropped his phone. Firefighters had to grease him up with soap while breaking the toilet apart to free the man. A month before that, a woman got her foot stuck in a squat toilet and firefighters had to use cooking oil to pull her leg out.
The Chinese Netizens were quite amused by the incident. “Extra Flavour!” One user wrote on Weibo. Another user said, “Why would he want to eat fish even if he was able to retrieve it from the toilet?” Another user defended the man’s actions by writing, “I’m going to think positive and say the man was worried that the fish would block the pipes.”
