Maria Ozawa Demands Apology For Selfie Scandal In Bali Indonesia

Maria Ozawa demands an apology from Indonesia

Former Japanese adult film star, Maria Ozawa, 32, is demanding an apology over alleged mistreatment from Indonesia. Ozawa was in Bali, Indonesia to attend a birthday party for her friend Barbie Nouva on November 6. The party was canceled when Maria Ozawa had to go down to the immigration office where she was interrogated. Officers questioned Maria over allegations that she was here to work. Her detention ended up making the news due to her popularity in Indonesia. Maria told reporters that she was “disappointed” and “very sad that people would make such rumors.” Maria claims that the whole thing was a setup by the immigration office to take a picture with her.

Maria Ozawa takes to Instagram to explain the situation

Maria Ozawa ended up venting her frustrations on her Instagram page over her mistreatment in Indonesia. On a post, she said that she went through a “horrible experience” at the Indonesian Immigration office. She explains that she was at a birthday party for her friend Barbie Nouva when two men came up to her and asked for her passport. She handed the passport over thinking it was immigration, then the tow men “ran off”. As a result, she and her friends “PANICKED” and canceled the party to head over to the immigration office.

At the immigration office, the officers informed Ozawa that someone tipped them off that Ozawa was here to work, violating her tourist visa. “The officers told me that someone from the bday party called up the immigration office and told them I’m trying to do something bad or business or whatever and telling all the lies, rumors anything to get me in trouble. Like WTF!!!!,” she wrote. The officers ended up talking “NONSENSE” to her for 2 hours, gave back her passports and told her “how FAMOUS” she was. After, they asked her to take a selfie with them. “Like what!? Seriously? So did the immigration people make up stories and snoop around, gathered information, track me down take my passport(Knowing I will come to get it) JUST TO TAKE A SELFIE WITH ME!?” she wrote. “This is so wrong…”

Maria Ozawa then proceeded to say that the “country needs to change” because it’s giving the good people of Indonesia a bad name. She finished her post with “Stop harassing me every time I visit Indonesia .. Clearly I need more privacy. Wake up Indonesia I know you guys are better.”

I’m sure most of you guys know by now about the horrible experience I had to go through yesterday around 11pm-3am at immigration of Bali, Indonesia. I was attending a birthday party of my good friend Barbie Nouva and as the party was ending , two guys suddenly came up to me and said they wr ppl from the immigration and needed to see my passport and as cheesy as it sounded I had no choice but to show it to them and the next second they just ran off w/o saying anything with my passport …!!! WE ALL PANICKED called up some people..Canceled the party and went straight to the immigration office. …… LONG STORY SHORT the officers told me that someone from the bday party called up the immigration office and told them I’m trying to do something bad or business or whatever and telling all the lies, rumors anything to get me into trouble . Like WTF !!!! And after talking about NONSENSE for 2hrs in the office , they printed out some papers for me to sign.. gave me back my passport, told me over and over how FAMOUS I am in Indonesia and as I was walking out from the office, they asked me to take a selfie with them… Like what!?Seriously ? So did the immigration people make up stories and snoop around ,gathered Information, track me down take my passport ( knowing I will come get it) JUST TO TAKE A SELFIE WITH ME!? This is so wrong in so many ways .. I’m glad I’m well known but this country needs to change, these people are erasing the “good” people out there. Stop harassing me every time I visit Indonesia .. Clearly I need more privacy . Wake up Indonesia I know you guys are better .

Indonesian authorities deny any wrongdoing

Indonesia’s Immigration office has denied Maria Ozawa’s accusations of wrongdoing, reports Coconuts Bali. They claim that they followed the books after they were notified that her friend Barbie Nouva advertised the party stating Marie Ozawa’s presence. They believed that Maria Ozawa was here on a job. “So, the information we received was that Maria Ozawa first arrived in Bali on November 5 to attend her friend’s birthday. The second piece of information turned out to be that her friend advertised the birthday event while stating the arrival of Maria Ozawa. Based on that information, from one thing or another, immigration dropped a team on November 6 to the location of the party. Upon checking, it turned out that Maria Ozawa did no activities in violation of her visa,”  Teodorus Simarmata, a spokesperson for the Indonesian Immigration explained.

The former Japanese Pornstar, Maria Ozawa is still pissed off about the ordeal in Indonesia and wants an apology, according to her friend Barbie Nouva. “Essentially, she(Ozawa) wants those people to apologize. It’s not difficult. She’s not an evil person. She only has problems with the culprits,” Nouva told Tempo News, reports Coconuts. Barbie insisted the immigration office apologize to the Japanese embassy due to the two countries being involved now. Nouva added, “She wants them to be punished because she doesn’t want Indonesia getting a bad rap. She loves Indonesia and has many Indonesian friends.”

The Indonesian authorities are holding firm that they did nothing wrong and everything was done by the books. They claim the 2-3 hours of questioning was normal. Additionally, they said that the questioning had to happen that night because Maria had to leave to Japan early in the morning.
