Two Thai students found dead in an apartment near the University Of Washington in Seattle on Tuesday has been declared a murder-suicide by Seattle police. According to reports by Q13 Fox the building manager entered the apartment for a welfare check when he discovered a woman he believed was seriously injured or dead. The building manager called the cops and that’s when they discovered another dead body. The two bodies were identified as KornKamon Leenawarat, 25 and her close friend Thiti-On Chotechuangsab, 32.
Leenavarat was a student that arrived two weeks before to obtain a master’s in law at the University of Washington according to the Bangkok Post. Her family got worried when they couldn’t contact Leenavart. They called the building manager who went to their apartment and found the dead bodies. Her family confirmed that Leenavarat and Chotchuangsap were close friends. The family says that Leenavarat wanted to become a judge.
There is very little public information on Chotchuangsap. She was a director of Pornsiri Power Limited Partnership, a Thai company that dealt with food products.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office in Seattle ruled the two deaths a murder-suicide. They declared the older woman, Chotchuangsap had stabbed and killed Leenawara multiple times then stabbed herself one time in the chest killing herself. The bodies will be flown back to Thailand to be buried.
